Prof. Dr. Ulf Gundlach, born in 1957, studied business administration (qualification: Diplom-Kaufmann) and law (first and second state examination). He then earned his PhD at the University of Göttingen in the field of insolvency law. Following his second state examination, he was employed by the State of Lower Saxony and later by the State of Saxony-Anhalt. After holding positions in the Landtag (State Parliament), the State Chancellery, the Ministry of Finance and the Interior Ministry, he was appointed State Secretary for the Ministry of the Interior and Sports of the State of Saxony-Anhalt.
Prof. Dr. Ulf Gundlach has been with eureos gmbh steuerberatungsgesellschaft rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft in Magdeburg and Leipzig since August 2016.
Public law, in particular community law, law governing economic activity and budgets of municipalities, insolvency law, liability law.
In addition to his work at the ministry, he served as an associate lecturer at the Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg for many years. His teaching activities focused on business law. He was appointed honorary professor at the beginning of 2012.
Prof. Dr. Ulf Gundlach has co-authored several standard works in business law as well as public law (e.g. Karsten Schmidt, InsO; Gottwald, Insolvenzrechtshandbuch; Pape/Gundlach/Vortmann, Handbuch der Gläubigerrechte; Klang/Gundlach/Kirchmer, Gemeindeordnung des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt; Gundlach/Fenzel, Kommentar zum GKG) and has written several scientific articles and annotations. He is a member of the editorial board of the LKV and has participated in several events as a speaker in Germany and abroad.
Ulf Gundlach has six children. He enjoys spending his leisure time teaching, reading and traveling.
